What Is The Paleo Diet Plan?

Paleo diet came into the limelight in the 1970s when Walter Voegtlin published the main idea behind the Paleo diet. Paleo diet can be associated with ancient diet belonging to human beings that existed during the Paleolithic Age. This diet has a lot of protein contents and low carbohydrate. This was essentially a caveman diet, hunter-gatherer diet or a Stone Age diet. Many people who advocate for this diet have received a significant boost by some emergence of the low-carb diets. Lot’s of the book out there about paleo recipe and paleo diet plan. But my opinion is the best paleo cookbook which one written by Sebastian Noel.

Features
The main idea behind the Paleo diet is to exclude the consumption of foods that came into the human diet especially during the Neolithic period such as legumes, grains, and other agricultural products. Most of them are not edible in a natural state and must be cooked for them to be edible. On the other hand, Paleo diet only focuses on those foods that are only edible in a natural state and available only through low technology.

Function
Proponents of the Paleo diet plan argue that the human body has evolved for several years where it had consistent food sources. Over time, the human body reacted to the introduction of agricultural products, and that the human body developed a lot of reactions including diseases and disorders. Therefore, Paleo diet plan is nutritionally beneficial for long-term human health.

Types
Several foods can be eaten on a Paleo diet plan. These include seafood, lean or organ meat, raw vegetables, walnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts and fruits especially the berries. Potatoes, peanuts, and cashew nuts may not fit into the plan. All these foods should be eaten without additions of preservatives or chemicals.

Effects
Paleo diet plan is intended for a long lasting change in lifestyle and not a weight loss objective. Medics argue that Paleo diet plan is useful in preventing the emergence of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and others body disorders of affluence. If this diet is adhered to for a long time, there will be a general change in health, development of ideal weight and optimum health for day to day performance.

Considerations
The main idea behind a Paleo diet is to maintain a pure focus on exact kind of food that will naturally improve the general energy levels in the body largely from the proteins. These diets have been proofed to improve
the human longevity and general state of health. This can also be found in the Mediterranean and the Asian diets where only proteins are the primary focus of the diet and no focus on calories.
